Dear Tumblr
I’m sorry for neglecting you for months. My life got interesting. I’m sure you’d prefer I had a life and didn’t post rather than had no life and posted a lot (see previous entries, tinged with sadness). I’ve decided to come back because:
it makes me feel better
I like to write - as a maths undergrad, this doesn’t happen a lot
the thought of revision makes me...

Single life in the cinema
Today I had to pay FULL PRICE at the cinema, even though it’s Orange Wednesday, because I was the third person. The third person out of three when the first and second are a couple does not get half price cinema entry. YOU CAN’T GET IN HERE FOR CHEAP, LOSER. NOBODY LIKES YOU AND NEITHER DOES YOUR LOCAL CINEMA.
Before my friends even arrived though, I had to stand around and look at...

Followers
I have 2 followers. HAHA. I’d like to think you now feel very privileged.
In other news, today was a good day. Had a good shift at work, and despite dropping a pound in the bin (whoops) and having a few coronas spray all over me, I actually had fun. Free wine too and a vodka, and a man whose round it took me 5 minutes to complete with about 10 drinks gave me a pretty sweet tip. Thank you...

“Because the paths to the Lord are inscrutable Because the essence of His forgiveness Lies in His word and in His mystery Because although God sends us the message It is our task to decipher it Because when we open our arms The earth takes in only a hollow and senseless shell Far away now is the soul in its eternal glory Because it is in pain that we find the meaning of life And the state of...

Welcome to the Tragic Kingdom
I was going to write a post on my favourite music at the moment, but I’ve decided to dedicate a whole post to one of my favourite albums of all time; one of those albums that I’ve listened to since I was a kid and I think is totally unique.
Here is my dedication to
Tragic Kingdom
by No Doubt, because I love it so frickin’ much.
First of all, Gwen Stefani is amazing....

Death and all his friends
Okay first, anyone who hasn’t seen it, look away now! Many McSpoilers.
Oh my God. Have just watched Grey’s Anatomy series 6 finale. I’ve watched 6 seasons in around 3 months, just to give an idea of how little a life I have. During this time I’ve been tip-toeing around the internet, staying on side reel and not searching for pictures or anything incase I encounter a...

Plans
I have decided that, as I have money and lots of time and it is something I have wanted to do for years, I am going to go to Berlin this summer, one way or another. I actually don’t even care if it’s on my own. I started on another German book today too and it’s coming back, slowly but surely.
So it’s official. Ich bin nach Berlin fahren :)
Has anyone been there before?...

Tumblr on my blackberry! Cool. I just wanted to post a part of my horoscope for today because it is seriously weird if you saw my last post. Think someone may be spying.
SAGITTARIUS CHARACTERISTICS
Restless energy and the need for personal independence keep a Sagittarius moving in many directions. Always ready to travel for business or pleasure (and sometimes because of an overwhelming urge to...

You said I must eat so many lemons, coz I am so...
I am SOOOO restless. I have been for weeks now. I am FULL of energy, and thoughts, and inspiration, and I want to go places and do things. And most of this shit you can’t do alone.
If my family weren’t so nice to me I think I would’ve stabbed myself with my nail scissors by now. I HATE this town. Well, okay not the town so much, but the people in it. I claim that approximately...

I love film
Just started a free 30 day trial on lovefilm. My rental list is as follows:
The Time Traveler’s Wife
High Fidelity
Casablanca
The Lovely Bones
LA Confidential
I Love You Philip Morris
Anyone seen any of them? There are obviously loads of films that I want to see but from a little browsing these are ones I’ve been meaning to see for a while, especially High Fidelity, The Time...

Orange Wednesday
I created this account last night and apart from sleeping I haven’t been off it. Of course it’s quite pretentious but I won’t pretend I dislike that. The whole photo reposting is pretty cool but when I joined I thought it would be primarily for my random thoughts, so you will receive a lovely mixture of the two.
I edited a theme with a cool layout into the one you can see now....

The Battle of Clichés
It seems that one of my ongoing battles in life is against the cliché. Every day I feel like I’m surrounded by them, with anyone you talk to just spewing them out like impulse reactions without having to refer to a single neuron. Having said this, I feel like they are also always swimming around in the pool of words in MY mind, ready to be chosen. It scares the shit out of me! What if one...

Hooray! What a great modern adaptation, particularly Cumberbatch as Sherlock. I think I have a little crush.
